Sure, it takes a long time to bake, but after you get it all prepared, you just pop it in the oven and you can socialize with your family while it is baking.

Sure, buying American-made products is great for everybody. Not only are you providing people with jobs in our country, but you’re also helping to save the environment. There is a lot of waste in shipping something halfway around the world, when it could also be made not too far from your house.
When you look at things in your kitchen, a lot of electronics are probably made in China, Taiwan, or some other Asian country. To find electronics that are made in America is a really difficult task. For example, if I look into my closet I see a mountain of clothing. But if I’m looking for something to wear to a formal dinner, I probably don’t have that in there. If I had a good basic wardrobe, I could do that.
In that same article, they’d also described a group of people who were trying to buy only local things. So, if they wanted to eat a certain fruit or vegetable, it would have to be grown locally. This is a romantic idea, but in reality, if you don’t live in an area that has a warm winter, you wouldn’t be able to eat anything. Sure, you could can vegetables and fruits for the winter, but I would definitely be afraid of getting scurvy in the winter months.
The way that I handle getting too much stuff is to wait one week before I buy something.
