Presidential China Collection
Each presidential family add their own taste of Lenox China in the White House. The First Lady usually decides on selection of these items. Here’s a snapshot of the last 4 collections:
Reagans
Nancy ordered 220 Nineteen Piece Lenox table settings in red and yellow for ~$210K, paid for by a nonprofit organization. The presidential seal is in the middle of each plate.
Bushes
Barbra favored the flatware collection with a replicate of the late-19th century silver polished flatware in formal dinners collection by Kirk Steiff.
Clintons
Hilary ordered 300 twelve piece Lenox yellow adorned place settings, with a donation of $240K from the White House Historical Association to celebrate the White House bicentennial. Service plates are covered with golden images of the White House.
Bushes
Laura bought large silver serving pieces for informal celebrations. They include round and oval plates, and pastry trays.
