How Lenox is Made

This is a very interesting video on how Lenox is made.

It’s fascinating to see all of the intricate steps to turn lumps of raw clay into beautifully decorated & polished dinnerware in an assembly line fashion. Even that takes 3 days. Can you imagine how much more work would have been involved before factory where master artisans worked by hands only?

Now looking at it, most of the people are probably making barely above minimium wage in the repetitive tasks that these days have been mostly outsourced to China, the country. But you’ve got to give credits for Lenox China, the company to keep a manufacturing plant here in good ol’ USA.
