Bargain Shopping 101: Outlet Stores

I like bargains.  I am the type of person will wake up early just to get a good deal, I’ll clip coupons, or go to a grocery store that is a bit further just to get a bargain.  Maybe you are not like me; maybe you’re happy paying full price just to get what you want and when you want it.

The last time I went to the outlet stores that are pretty close to where I live, I first went to all of the name brand clothing stores.  By the time I was finished scouting these out for bargains, I had so many packages and was about to give up, leaving the shoe and other stores for the next trip.  As I was going back to my car, the Lenox china outlet caught my eye.  I know that a lot of my married friends already had Lenox china that they got from their wedding registries.  I decided to go in, just to have a quick peek.  The Lenox china outlet had a lot of choices, and I was surprised about that.  I was expecting a couple of pieces from their old and discontinued patterns, and was really amazed to find a wide variety.

As a bargain hunter, what I really liked about the Lenox china outlet store is that the prices weren’t Lenox china prices.  When buying things, a bargain hunter usually has to choose between quality and price.  With Lenox china, the price is usually the part that turns people off.  Buying at a Lenox china outlet store is definitely the bargain shopper’s compromise.

Now, I’ll be honest, I didn’t buy much at the Lenox china outlet store.  I could’ve definitely bought a whole new set of China on the spot, but I had a little self-restraint and just picked up a platter that I’ll use the next time that I have a dinner party with all my friends.  At that dinner party, I’ll probably be wearing some new outfit that I picked up at the outlet stores as well.
